Oscilloscope Wall Mirror

13_cip_48_003This used to be an EICO Model 460 DC Wide Band 4.5 MHz Oscilloscope. Once the oscilloscope lost its ability to analyze signal frequencies with any degree of accuracy, it was simply cast off, its useful life ended.

Fortunately, its face was saved, and fitted with a glass mirror behind the reticule (reference grid), framed in oak and fitted with a picture hook. It mounts to the wall as easily.
The knobs all turn as they did when it was a functioning test instrument, but now their value is simply to provoke thought in passersby.
On a practical note, the 5″ mirror works well for a quick check of your own attitude before heading out the door.
