“In My Mind, Even Whilst I Sleep My Work Continues Unabated”

Have you ever been unable to stop the gears from spinning in your head, thoughts churning as though powered by an outside force? Well, I certainly have. This forgotten patent drawing captures the scene as I imagine it exists: A crew of inner workmen toiling ceaselessly at some absurd and shadowy task, their quiet turmoil preventing my slumber from resulting in rest.

Aside from digital restoration, I have altered the original significantly, including creating this caption.
