12″x18″ Framed N.B. Geddes Patent Drawing

This poster is based on a patent drawing by Norman Bel Geddes (1893—1958), an important American theatrical and industrial designer.  The patent application is for a novel cruise ship design.

In addition to the usual tedium of digitally cleaning and repairing the image, I have made a few aesthetic adjustments to his application, and added the caption that Mr. Geddes might well have preferred:

“Secret Plans for a Terrifying Submarine to use for World Domination. Or, Failing that, Perhaps Merely a Stylish Cruise Ship.”
