The hot, busy summer of 2018.
We went to the Guilford Fair on the first cool day in what seemed like forever.
It is so reaffirming to be among people simply enjoying co-existence. Ours is a time of relative peace and plenty; we need to resist those who traffic in storm and stress.
That said, these photos:
I don’t know either of the people whose image I captured. I’m taken by their similarity- the stern, dogged expression, oblivious to the circus behind them. They could be the same guy, fifty years apart. They weren’t traveling together. Each seemed to be travelling very much alone.
