“I’d Rather Be Daydreaming”

I peruse countless public domain images. I find it fascinating to consider how much work has gone into the production of these drawings and illustrations over the years. All that talent and thought and care, all those hours..

This was some kind of travel poster, Russian or something. The text was mundane advertising copy, but the illustration caused my mind to wander.

So in the course of repairing the original, I artfully removed the Cyrillic sentiment and added my own. I get wistful just looking at it.
